How To Memorize Scripture

 If you are serious, or want to be serious, about memorizing Scripture, please read this article. It is by Dr. Andrew Davis, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina. The first few pages on why to memorize is worth its weight in gold.

One comment – Dr. Davis advocates memorizing verse numbers with the verses. At first, this is difficult because it breaks your rhythm when reciting. You will want to skip this important step. Please don't. You will get use to saying the verse numbers and in the long run, you will reap the benefits of the little bit more discipline it takes.
