Correspondence Bible School

The Echoes of Mercy Correspondence Bible School offers all courses free of charge. Published by Source of Light Ministries , there are courses available for all ages. The study lessons are brief, well-illustrated, with a test or quiz for the student to complete. A certificate is awarded for each series completed.

Typically, adults are enrolled in The New Life in Christ 1 series first, followed by The New Life in Christ 2 & 3. After completion of New Life in Christ series, the student is encouraged to continue his education and growth with the following courses: Practical Christian Living, Basic Bible Truths, and Fishers of Men. The scope and sequence of this educational track will cover major themes of the Bible, allow you to develop a personal walk with Christ, and equip you to share your faith with others and disciple them.

We recommend starting with The New Life in Christ 1 but if you feel that another course would fit your situation better, below is a description of each of the available courses.

Available Courses:

See & Do 1 & 2 are for children learning to read. The 7 lessons in each series present Bible truths through well-illustrated stories and may be read to or by the childe, encouraging Bible study.

Story Time 1 & 2 have 7 lessons in each series for ages 7 and 8. Each lesson has a short Bible lesson and stories to catch interest and teach important truths. These series are good for See & Do graduates, as well as for new students.

Best Friends 1 & 2 for 9 and 10 year olds are also good for those completing Storytime 2.

Explorers 1 & 2  have 10 lessons in the first series and 12 in the second. This excellent, basic Bible study material is ideal for ages 11 and 12 and for those having completed the Best Friends series.

Winners 1 is designed for teenagers. There are 12 lessons in 6 booklets in this course.

A Country Called Heaven has 15 lessons in 8 booklets for ages 13 through 17. Adults find this basic course very helpful and easy to complete, making it possible to move on o more advanced courses. This is in simplified English and works well as an ESL Course (English as a second language).

The New Life in Christ 1 is for older teenagers and adults. This course has 12 lessons in 6 booklets, presenting basic truths from God’s Word.

The New Life in Christ 2 has 12 lessons in 6 booklets. This course is for graduates, ages 13 through adults of the following courses: Winners, A Country Called Heaven, The New Life in Christ 1, The Way to Heaven, and Winning the Race of Life. These lessons on the Life of Christ are filled with vital truths for all believers.

The New Life in Christ 3 is for ages 13 through adult and usually follows The New Life in Christ 2. The 25 lessons in 13 booklets cover a wide range of subjects relating to Christian growth.

Practical Christian Living  is 24 lessons in 8 booklets for ages 13 through adult. This series normally follows The New Life in Christ 3. This course deals with the problems and challenges faced by Christians.

Basic Bible Truths is more advanced Bible studies for older teenagers and adults. The 8 lessons are on great Bible themes such as Repentance, Faith, and Prayer.

Fishers of Men is for older teens and adults and has 3 lessons showing how to lead others to the Savior.

Love, Dating, & Marriage with 12 lessons in 6 booklets is for older teenagers and young adults. This series deals candidly with love, dating, marriage, and other subjects of keen interest to these age groups.

Light from the Gospel of John is a single-lesson introductory course for teenagers and adults. This attractive brief study of the Gospel of John has special emphasis on salvation. No certificate is awarded upon completion. It is recommended for new students before studying other courses, especially if A Country Called Heaven, The New Life In Christ 1, or Winning the Race of Life series are omitted.

Winning the Race of Life is 6 lessons in 3 booklets. This course is for teenagers and adults and is excellent for discipleship.

The Spirit World is an 8-lesson course in 3 booklets and deals with subjects such as angels, Satan, demons, and the occult. It is of special value to those exposed to the occult and spiritism.
